Tukee Foundation is a non-profit, non-government organization and registered with the Government of Nepal.
We believe every mother deserves a safe, stable place to call home—and every child deserves to grow up in a secure, loving environment. Our mission is simple yet profound: to build dignified, lasting homes for single mothers who are courageously rebuilding their lives. We work hand-in-hand with single mothers, local partners, donors, and volunteers to design and construct more than just buildings. We create sanctuaries—spaces of hope, healing, and new beginnings.
Tukee Foundation was born out of a growing need for housing solutions tailored specifically to single mothers in Nepal. Many of these women face housing insecurity, economic hardship, and social isolation, yet they continue to lead their families with strength and resilience. We believe true empowerment starts with opportunity. That's why we provide more than just shelter—we equip single mothers with the tools they need to thrive: a safe home, vocational training aligned with their skills, confidence-building support, and startup capital to pursue economic independence. Single mothers are among the most hardworking and determined individuals in our communities. Yet many are forced to make heartbreaking choices—like choosing between putting food on the table or paying school fees. From tuition and uniforms to transportation and school supplies, the cost of education can be overwhelming. We work to remove these barriers so that no child is denied the chance to learn, grow, and dream.
These women are not only the backbone of their families—they are often the heart of their communities. Yet when it comes to safe, secure housing and property rights, they remain some of the most vulnerable. That's why we also provide seed funding and land rights training—resources that give these mothers not just a fresh start, but real ownership and long-term stability. These are the first steps toward a future of dignity, independence, and lasting change.
