Our Story
Tukee Foundation works for those women who are widows/divorcees/physically disable especially single mothers. Our selected beneficiaries are the Icons of the survivors, they have an extraordinary life and the ability to survive. We, Tukee Foundation, seek out struggling single moms to encourage and empower them socially, economically and more.
In fact, the main aim of the organization is to educate the society by providing educational supports to next generation within their original family and community.
We have several strategies and working teams with academic and experienced background to implement the projects which has given us satisfying results.

Meet the Board Members of Tukee Foundation.
Savitri Rajali
Chairperson Savitri Knows who are the people in need and which is the best path of societal prosperity. She built a team together with sweetheart Sheela Sen one and half decade college friend. With an education in Rural Development and background in Documentary Film Making, she mobilizes us complete our mission by researching and assessing needs and resources including donors and arranging the seemingly impossible.
Sheela Sen Thakuri
The Executive Director Sheela and Social Science Specialist of Tukee-Nivas Housing has rigorous knowledge of socio-cultural diversity, marginalization, social exclusion/inclusion in the context of Nepal. She conducts feasibility study/baseline survey, project planning, implementation and impact analysis in our foundation. Likewise has completed her M. Phil in Anthropology which has highly been valuable to shape the foundation up.
Jharana Rana
Though having disability with Spinal cord injury Jharana has been revealing her relentless ability for molding multiple barriers. As an Anthropologist her intensive involvement in social services has become an exclusive treasure for us. Likewise, she holds the position of Treasurer at our Foundation and directing our resources for it's maximum values.
Bina Khaling Rai
Secretory of Tukee Foundation and Socio-Culture specialist. With her depth of knowledge, She writes curriculum books and shares her precious time by monitoring our project "One Child One Donor". She is the head of department of Social work and social science at Brooklyn College in Kathmandu. She has completed her M. Phil in Anthropology from T.U. and has finished her LLB too.
Nirjala Bhattarai
Since last five years, working as registered nurse in government hospital our board member Nirjala has her passion to promote health especially women and children focusing on the rural areas by utilizing her knowledge and experience in nursing field.
Rama Pokharel
Board member Rama is Registered Nurse of Nepal who currently works in Kanti Children Hospital. She has been dedicated contributor on her profession more than 5 years and now enthusiastic to expand and share her knowledge and Ideas with us.
Sabitri Dhungana
With a Bachelor in social work, we are proud to have Sabitri as a project Assistant especially with the project of Nivas. She excel herself as a social worker and being energetic, passionate, resourceful, unique and kind hearted person from a humble background. Embracing skills and knowledge to understand the local community and behavior in deep collaboration and networking.
Hema Chand
Board member Hema of is a homemaker with a masters degree in business studies and earlier worked as a banker. Her passion is to working in social sector to make better livelihood of the people and making them financially sound so they become confident on their personal level to growth further.
Apsara Rakash
Board member Apsara is an active new generation currently completing her bachelor in Development Studies. Her passion is working in social sector to make a better society, helping and uplifting others. She believes in personal growth that can only way makes you confident on your path. She shares her knowledge and beliefs through attending classes at her college and visiting our beneficiaries at their homes.
